Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Manager is the primary leader in the field and is directly accountable for safety, financial performance and team development on-site. The Project Manager will lead the project team in construction of the entire project. This position is responsible for building and maintaining a strong relationship with the subcontractors, owner, architect and engineers.RESPONSIBILITIESAble to perform all Assistant Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Engineer responsibilitiesManage staff members on multiple job sites, ensuring proper oversight and development of multiple levels of staffServe as a liaison between office and field, coordinating staffing and movement of field personnelDevelop project chart of accounts, project contract status report and project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contractOversee the pay request processMonitor project costs and job cost report, analyzing and forecasting total cost projection reportsImplement and monitor training of all staff personnel and project laborReview/approve project team on-site setup, including facilities layout, selection of forming systems and equipmentAssist project staff in development of construction schedule and monitor schedule performance, looking for ways to improve/expediteAssist estimating in bidding projectsImplement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programsLead the project's quality process and close-out processesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required7+ years experience in highly complex and related commercial or healthcare construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredExperienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform workExperience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
