Tool & Die Maker / Machinist - 1st Shift

Job Description Marion Die & Fixture, located in Marion, KS, is a division of The Bradbury Group, a family-owned organization leading the industry in producing quality roll forming solutions. Join our team!SUMMARYAnalyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools to manufacture parts, fit and assemble parts to fabricate and/or repair various types of dies.HOURS6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-FESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSStudy prints, sketches, models, job orders and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.Computes dimensions, plans layout and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, bridgeports, etc. to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions, alignments and clearances.Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERREDAble to use and understand all required tools and precision measuring instruments.Understanding of basic math concepts.Ability to read and understand prints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc., and follow oral and written instructions.Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Organization and planning skills.Ability to work well with others.EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERREDPrefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical schoolOTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESStrong manufacturing experience.Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly.Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.Follows instructions, responds to management direction.Takes responsibility for own actions.Commits to extra hours of work when necessary to reach goals.Completes tasks on time.BENEFITSCompetitive salary with annual performance evaluationsHealth InsuranceHealth, dental, vision, and prescription drug insuranceNo Waiting PeriodCoverage starts on the first of the next month following day 1 of employmentCompany-Paid Life InsuranceRoth & 401(k) + Company MatchPTOAll new hires start with 80 hours of PTO on day 1Paid HolidaysSafety Shoe Allowance of $175/yrTuition ReimbursementReduced Fee Child Care at Cradle to Crayons in Moundridge
