The primary responsibility of the Process Automation System (PAS) Engineer is to ensure the delivery of projects executed by their Group.
Meet or exceed customer and client project success criteria with the objective of maximizing both short-term and long-term profitability.
The PAS Engineer will serve as the technical point of contact between the Project Manager and the technical disciplines involved in large, complex, or strategic projects executed by their group.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure delivery of projects executed by their Group meets or exceeds customer and client project success criteria.
The ability to interpret technical documents, requirements, and design specifications with aggressive attention to detail.
Ability to read, and understand the following types of industry-standard engineering drawings:
System/Network Architecture for Industrial Control Systems
P&IDs
Electrical Power Wiring Diagrams, including AC (120V) and DC power distribution.
Grounding Wiring
Control Panel Layout and related Bill of Materials
Terminal Block Layout
Installation Details (control panel assembly)
Fabrication Details (sheet metal parts and components)
Loop Sheets (per ISA S5.2)
PLC/DCS I/O Termination
Cable Block Diagrams
Ability to compile, organize, and maintain supporting documentation obtained from OEM suppliers, external customer representatives, component suppliers, and internal team members.
Work with the Resource Manager to forecast resource needs for current and upcoming projects. Ensure resources are assigned to projects to optimize customer satisfaction and The client profitability.
Create an environment for a highly motivated and engaged team of professionals.
Develop partnerships with customers and act as the focal point for ensuring customer satisfaction across all the project work undertaken by the Group.
Proactively provide support to the sales team in developing and winning new business with current and new customers in the assigned industry.
Assist sales and engineering leadership in developing and executing industry-specific strategies to grow revenue and profitability in assigned industries.

Travel:
Dependent on customer and project assignments. May require substantial travel at times, but is typically limited to Monday – Friday, and is variable based on Project and Customer demands.
Physical Demands:
Navigate/climb stairs at client and customer sites while carrying up to 30 pounds (This may be required to be performed at a brisk pace.)
Able to walk at a fast pace in case of a site evacuation.
Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in areas near high electrical currents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 1-2 years’ experience OR
Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a Technical School plus 5 - 10 years’ experience.
In-depth process and automation knowledge
Previous DCS configuration and programming experience with Emerson PROVOX and DeltaV control systems
Previous experience with PLCs, (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider, etc.) automation/building management control systems
Experience in an industrial automation project delivery environment
Adaptable, resilient, adjusts quickly, maintains effectiveness throughout periods of change, exhibits tolerance for ambiguity, and the ability to lead a team through change.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and organizational skills
Able to relate well to others, including team members, peers, senior leaders, and customers.
Working knowledge of word processor and spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel and Word).
Working knowledge of database programs (i.e. IFS, Outlook) is preferable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,406.08 - $93,220.23 per year
