This role is ideal for someone with mechanical or electrical aptitude who wants hands-on experience working aboard a wide variety of vessels under the guidance of experienced technicians.ResponsibilitiesInstall, wire, and configure marine electronics systems (GPS, radar, sonar, VHF/AIS, networking, WiFi, cellular, and entertainment systems).Run cables, mount hardware, terminate connectors, and perform basic troubleshooting.Assist senior techs with AC/DC electrical systems including batteries, chargers, and inverters.Maintain professional, clean work habits aboard client vessels.Support job documentation and parts organization.RequirementsRequired:Mechanical or electrical aptitudeExperience with basic hand/power toolsMust own basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters)Comfortable working on boats and in tight spacesReliable, punctual, and professionalValid driver's licensePreferred:Marine electronics or DC electrical experienceBoating experienceFamiliarity with NMEA 0183 / NMEA 2000 standardsHow to ApplyPlease email your resume and a brief introduction to electronics@mermanusa.com.
