Program Specialist
The Amicus Ralph Leek Elder's and PVI programs offer unique community support in personal development through specialized one-on-one supports, art, life skills, and self-advocacy. Join our professional team to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in an environment of positive respect and energy. Our focus is to help individuals to maximize their independence and quality of life through skill building, community involvement, creativity, and self-advocacy. This position works on site at 68 Hillside Avenue in our newly-redesigned state of the art program site and in the community.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field with one year of relevant experience required. An Associate's degree or a minimum of 60 hours of related college-level courses combined with directly-related experience will also be considered. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills and the ability to drive a 12- person van and an acceptable driving record required. Successful candidate must have leadership qualities and a collaborative spirit. Knowledge of positive behavioral support and DSP certification preferred, but will train.
This full time (37.5 hrs./wk position) comes with an excellent benefit package that adds approx. 25-30% added value to the total compensation package.)
