Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary Growing manufacturer on the north side of Columbus is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their Application Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of mechanical design experience with MEP structures and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks required, as well as a strong understanding of structural loading and systems. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Location Dublin, Ohio Job Type Permanent Salary $70,000 - $85,000 per year Work Hours 8am to 4pm Education Bachelors Responsibilities Produce manufacturing drawings for structural components and distribution systems for piping, ductwork and MEP systems Perform seismic and wind load calculations and create supporting engineering reports Support Revit/BIM coordination for MEP systems and engineered supports Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Generate custom product drawings based on project sales requirements Requirements B.S. in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or similar At least 3 years of mechanical or product design in manufacturing Proficiency with Autodesk, SolidWorks Simulation and engineering automation tools Ability to conduct engineering calculations and a strong understanding of structural loading, vibration isolation and anchorage design International Building Code requirements familiarity Experience with manufacturing processes/fabrication and structural systems with MEP components Qualifications Experience level: Experienced Minimum 3 years of experience Education: Bachelors (required) Skills Mechanical Design FEA HVAC Solidworks AutoDesk Inventor Equal Opportunity Employer Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
