About the RoleAs a software engineer on our team, you’ll work with subject matter experts, developers, and fellow engineers to overcome our government customer’s most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, while helping to identify and implement system improvements. Using Agile Software development principles, you’ll guide development of safe, secure, and effective weapon system architectures. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to ensure the solution weapon system contractors develop considers current architecture, operating environments, and safety and surety for the system, for current and future functionality and enhancements. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and engineering teams to solve complex government customer challengesAnalyze system requirements, operational environments, and architectural constraints to guide development effortsSupport the development of safe, secure, and effective weapon system architectures using Agile methodologiesEvaluate contractor-developed solutions to ensure alignment with current and future system functionality, safety, and surety requirementsIdentify opportunities for system and process improvements, recommending and helping implement enhancementsCommunicate complex engineering concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to verification, validation, and requirement traceability activities Important NoteThis position focuses on analysis, evaluation, and architectural guidance.
