This role focuses on teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for athletes of varying ages and skill levels.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and facilitate basketball drills, stations, and skill-development sessions.- Set up and break down courts, equipment, and training materials.- Adapt instruction and drill progressions to accommodate various age groups and ability levels.- Provide clear demonstrations and teaching cues.- Foster a positive, disciplined, and encouraging environment.- Ensure the safety of all participants.- Maintain professionalism with athletes, families, and staff.- Support program directors with session organization and execution.- Assist with maintaining equipment and clean training spaces.QUALIFICATIONS- At least two years of prior experience coaching or working with youth athletes (basketball preferred).- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals.- Patience, professionalism, and strong communication skills.- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.- Background check required.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
