While this position is home-based, the primary office is in Muncie, IN. The OYS Peer Navigator is responsible for collaborating with internal and external teams to provide additional support to OYS clients. The Peer Navigator will help organize client enrichment activities, onboarding sessions and establish peer to peer relationships with OYS clients. This position works closely with the OYS Administrative team. The schedule for this position is not a traditional work schedule and requires the ability to adapt to a flexible work week.Those with lived experience in foster care are encouraged to apply!You WillCollaboration & Coordination (80%)Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive onboarding process for clients.Plan and manage enrichment events and special program initiatives as assigned.Collaborate with the Department of Child Services (DCS) and external providers on partnership projects.Lead and coordinate the program’s social media presence and content strategy.Facilitate program-specific training sessions for staff, partners, or participants.Oversee and regularly update content on the Sparkle App to ensure alignment with program goals.Provide mentorship and connect youth to appropriate resourcesRepresent the program at Peer Navigator networking events and build professional connections.Documentation (20%)Accurately document enrichment events, program initiatives, and collaborative effortsMaintain clear, timely, and professional written communication regarding project updates and task completion, as directed by the supervisor.You HaveHigh School diploma or GED required OR A non-human service related Bachelor's degree and 2 years of social service experience OR Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field.  Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and auto insurancePresentation experience and lived experience as a young adult are preferred.Our BenefitsStudent Loan RepaymentTuition ReimbursementMedical, Dental, and Health InsurancePTO and Paid HolidaysShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceEqual Employment OpportunityFirefly Children & Family Alliance does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability.
