Health & Safety Coordinator
Overview
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Training Coordinator supports the EH&S Manager in the functions of; Prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training activities in the company.
Job Responsibilities
Supports assessment function to determine training needs for new and existing employees,
Work with Safety Manager to identify external training programs required to address competency gaps,
Verifies the company EHS policies are fully understood, implemented and maintained.
Develop training aids such as manuals, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, and work instructions,
Organizes and maintains safety related materials, and equipment,
Inform employees about training options, and tracks training plans for individual employees,
Facilitate learning using a variety of methods including classroom instruction, virtual, on-the-job coaching,
Apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness,
Track and report on training outcomes, providing feedback to participants and management,
Keep current on training design and methodology,
Evaluate and make recommendations on training materials and methodology,
Review, maintain, and update employee training records,
Ability to be flexible with scheduling, to provide required training sessions during any of the operating shifts,
Performs other required tasks as assigned.
Minimum (2) years’ experience leading and contributing to EH&S compliance and regulatory policy, and programs development in a Manufacturing or Industrial business.
Requires a broad understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, risk assessment, and mitigation programs.
Self-motivated with proven presentation skills
Ability to inspire others to commit and achieve EHS goals and performance metrics
Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with various types of technology and software, MS Office, Excel, Word
Ability to walk, stand, and move material for long periods of time
Background in manufacturing preferred
Job Requirements
