The position will work with project managers and subcontractors to meet project requirements. The control technician will be responsible for assisting in calibration, point to point check out, programming, and testing of Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation and control systems as directed.This position will require a minimum of 25% travelResponsibilities/DutiesHelps to maintain accurate and thorough project documentation and redlinesComplete sensor calibrations on HVAC control systemsComplete PID loop tuning on equipment programs to optimize equipment operationAssist with project sub-contractors where needed, specifically test and balance contractors Assist the project team in the engineering of control system hardware and software programming based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documentsHelps to implement programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems.Required SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite Previous experience with Niagara 4 workbench softwareStrong analytical skillsExperience with electronics and basic electrical circuitsThorough understanding of and ability to use appropriate tools, including test equipment to aid in calibration of sensorsExcellent customer service and ability to work well with othersBasic understanding of DDC Control Theory and Applications as related to HVAC equipmentRequired Experience/EducationAt least 1 year of experience with programming, startup and/or commissioning of control systemsNiagara Ax or N4 certification a plus but not requiredUnderstanding of installation of controls equipment and ancillary devices/sensorsPhysical RequirementsPhysically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobsOur positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.Additional InformationCompetitive benefits for eligible employees include:Medical & RxDentalVisionFlexible Spending Accounts401(k) Retirement PlanLife Insurance/AD&DLong Term Disability and Short-Term DisabilityPaid Time OffHoliday PayAll positions require a background check after acceptance of our offer.
