Pet Groomer

Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs and other pets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent animal handling skills, and the ability to provide exceptional care to our furry clients. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing a positive grooming experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals safely and effectively, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for pets. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and provide advice on at-home care. Keep accurate records of services performed and any observations about the pet's health or behavior. Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression as needed. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a high standard of care for all animals. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, candidates with strong animal care backgrounds may be considered. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general animal care are essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners. A compassionate attitude towards animals and dedication to providing quality service.
