Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Risk and Compliance Specialist Principal located in Germantown, MD. The role involves overseeing IT risk management and ensuring organizational compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Specialist will perform risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, establish compliance programs, and provide expert guidance on governance and audit processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment is a key aspect of this position. Qualifications Proficiency in IT Risk Management, Risk Assessment, and Governance practicesStrong knowledge of Compliance standards, Audit preparation, and Regulatory requirementsSkills in developing and executing Security Protocols and Mitigation StrategiesExperience with IT frameworks, tools, and methodologiesStrong Problem-Solving, Analytical Thinking, and Decision-Making capabilitiesEffective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP) are preferredExperience in risk and compliance roles in highly regulated industries is a plus
