Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift)
Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as a 1st Shift Maintenance SupervisorThe RoleWe’re seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. This position is responsible for leading a team of Maintenance Technicians to ensure top equipment performance and long-term reliability of our assets and processes. If you enjoy tackling challenges while having the opportunity to go above and beyond, you will feel right at home.What You’ll Be Doing Reporting team activity and progress through visual management (weak point management, pareto charts, other TPS tools, and graphs).Manage general practices for the first shift maintenance team, including lock out/tag out (electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical), 5S condition (process and shop cleanliness and organization, and other potential hazards (proper PPE)Coordinate daily activities and generate/assign work orders and countermeasures to the techniciansCoordinate trouble calls for machine downtime to ensure all equipment is repaired with the utmost quality and sense of urgencyDowntime prevention activitiesWork order completion according to targetsAttain target of no work order older than 25 daysCoordinate daily activities to have parts and necessary suppliesRetest all equipment with associate and leadership to verify quality and performance of machineCross shift repair coordinationCoordinate the transfer of time sensitive repair and improvement work to and from adjacent shifts to prevent the interruption of production operationsHuman developmentAssist in the development of each Associate in behavior and skillsetProject managementInitiate, plan, execute, control, and report the work of a team to achieve improvement goalsPromote kaizen activityContinuously identify and implement improvements (safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environment)Create a teamwork atmosphere through excellent communication and respect for peopleDaily managementDowntime countermeasure effectiveness, check sheet completion, work orders, and project schedulesEscalate critical equipment issues or downtime events to ensure adequate resources are assignedWork unscheduled overtime to complete assigned jobs to ensure meeting of production goalsAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerAdditional duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking For2 Year Technical degree required2 Years of Leadership experience preferred6 years of previous maintenance experience preferredWhat Sets You ApartStrong communication skillsContinual learningInterpersonal skills/respect for peopleTeam player - Willingness to share knowledgeResourcefulness/initiativeCustomer-focusedWhere And When You’ll WorkThis is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:Hourly Wage - $75,000/yr - $100,000/yr.
