Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Plant operations.Starting Pay: $30 - $40/hr base pay + $2/hr night shift differentialSchedule:Night shift (7 PM – 7 AM), rotating 2-2-3 scheduleRotation: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then reverse the following weekEssential Job FunctionsTroubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipmentPlans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipmentInstalls, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirementsMaintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipmentPerforms other related duties as required and assignedRequirementsTwo-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required.3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areasA thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair workExposed to high voltage electricityAbility to push, pull, or lift heavy objects and/or machine parts with or without assistancePhysical RequirementsRequires repetitive movementRequires walkingRequires kneeling, crouching and stoopingRequires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controlsRequires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting and/or standingYou Should Be Proficient InPLC Troubleshooting SkillsElectrical SchematicsElectrical Troubleshooting SkillsTroubleshooting Skills120/208/240/480 Voltage SystemsElectrical Systems Diagnostics & RepairElectrical TroubleshootingPneumatics TroubleshootingIndustrial Electrical ExperienceIndustrial Electrical SystemsElectrical Systems & Diagnostics (Heavy Equipment)Troubleshooting CNC MachinesMachines & Technologies You'll UseVariable Frequency Drives (VFD)Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
