Accounts payable clerk (On-site)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Process and maintain accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded Reconcile company bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed Analyze financial information and summarize financial status for reporting purposes Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Support annual audit preparation activities and provide requested documentation Work closely with internal departments regarding invoice processing and payment inquiries Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Qualifications Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP Experience with accounting software and financial systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication and problem-solving skills Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience Benefits: • Health Insurance • Sick Time • 401k Location: 178-50 Linden Blvd Jamaica, NY 11434 Duration: approximately 2 years Apply by deadline: 5/26/2026 Shift Days/Times: Day Shift 8:30am to 4:30pm Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
