Job Title: Web Developer IILocation: Woodland Hills, CA 91367Duration: 7 Months ContractHours Per Week: 40.00Title: Sr. Frontend Developer/DesignerJob Summary:client is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer/Designer to design and build eCommerce and Consumer Marketing online stores and sites and high profile internal facing applications. The developer/designer will be responsible for creation of designs for our record labels, artists, and business partners and for developing React/Gatbsy frontend components for our global initiatives, applications, and platforms, standardizing and templatizing where possible. This position requires both design and development knowledge and experience in multiple areas and facets of the eCommerce and Consumer Marketing space in order to solution, design, and build for vastly different client problems/goals while using a single set of underlying core technologies.Job Functions:Oversee and manage design project.Design, develop, maintain and update site content, graphics and appearance.Manage multiple stakeholders and performance goals while problem-solving and troubleshooting.Manage expectations of clients and partner with record labels and business stakeholders towards same end goals.Build and deploy new and cutting-edge React-based features for our online sites and stores and internal applications.Integrate with various eCommerce and consumer marketing platforms (CRM, AdTech, MarTech, Customer Service Tech) and internal systems to surface data on our online and internal properties.Write technical user stories and convert user stories into deliverables.Provide estimates to the required level of accuracy for stories and tasks.Test deliverables against a user story's acceptance tests.Create technical documentation.Job Requirements:Skills/Abilities:Solid understanding of general eCommerce and consumer marketing technologiesStrong proficiency in modern design patterns and development languages including JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSSProficiency in responsive design principlesBasic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and general data transfer approachesAbility to write unit tests when implementing user stories and design and develop code for testabilitySolid grounding with common design patterns and development best practicesAbility to multi-task, problem solve, and execute tasks with accuracy in a high-pressure, fast-paced agile environmentCustomer-first mentality with ability to empathize and create customer loyaltyStrong drive to continue improving skills and to stay on the cutting edge of web technologyCapable of learning new technologies and platforms quickly and able to apply them to solve complex problemsExperience:5+ years of work experience in design and development and hands-on experience in building large-scale services/distributed systemsKnowledge of ecommerce and consumer marketing technology landscape and associated stacks (shopping cart, API integrations, social media platforms, etc.)Experienced in:Proficiency in Figma/Adobe XDExperience with creating sketches/wireframes, high-fidelity/in-browser mock-ups and everything in-betweenUnderstands and applies principles of page optimizationExperience with cross-device/responsive design techniquesFamiliarity with web trends and best practices for UX/UI designAbility to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative design solutionsKnowledge of modern front-end toolsFamiliarity with Content Management SystemsExtensive experience in web fundamentals like HTML 5, and CSS3, Sass syntaxFront end frameworks React, Next.js, Gatsby, and jQueryNodeJS, JavaScript (ES2019+), ESLint and coding standards, TypescriptExperience integrating with web services (REST, and GraphQL) and third-party librariesExperience with task runners, build tools, and bundlers like Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, etc.Comfort with multiple Linux distributionsData applications using Fetch/AJAX/JSONP with JSON/XML/HTML contentExperience working within an agile teamExperience setting up continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) with tools like Jenkins, Github, and BitBucketBonus Skills:Test Driven Development2 - 3 years in an agile environment (Scrum and/or Kanban)Experience developing mobile applicationsEducation:Bachelor's in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience
