Technical Project Estimator
The Technical Project Estimator will work with the design and manufacturing staff to interpret specifications and drawings in (Mechanical/Electrical engineering systems) to develop a proposal for submittal to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cost Analysis:
· Evaluate drawings and specifications to identify all requested materials, labor, and equipment.
· Determine key variables that influence project costs, such as codes, material prices, and production times.
· Gather data on costs from suppliers and vendors.
· Use estimation programs and tools to prepare estimates.
· Estimate Preparation:
· Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant costs.
· Prepare and submit proposals for projects.
· Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine estimates and budgets.
· Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and bids.
· Project Monitoring:
· Identify and address any cost overruns or deviations from the budget.
Job Requirements:
· Education: A.S. degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical systems, or related experience is preferred.
· Experience: 1-3 years of experience with estimating industrial Plumbing, Electro/Mechanical systems is preferred.
· CAD: SolidWorks use and review of technical documents experience is a plus.
· Communications: Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Any foreign language experience in a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
