Sweetspot Brands offers a welcoming, inclusive environment for both customers and team members.Role Description The Cannabis Advisor is a part-time, on-site role based in Hamilton, NJ. In this position, the Cannabis Advisor greets customers, listens to their needs, and provides knowledgeable product recommendations aligned with company guidelines and state regulations. Daily responsibilities include explaining product types and effects, answering questions about dosing and usage, and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive customer experience. The Cannabis Advisor maintains accurate point-of-sale transactions, checks identification for age and eligibility, and follows all compliance and security procedures. The role also involves stocking shelves, merchandising products, keeping the sales floor and consultation areas clean, and communicating customer feedback to management to support continuous improvement.Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to listen actively, educate customers clearly, and build trust in a fast-paced retail environment.Basic sales and retail skills, including point-of-sale operation, cash handling, and product merchandising.Interest in and willingness to learn about cannabis products, formats, and responsible consumption, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and regulations.Attention to detail and reliability in following compliance, safety, and security procedures, including ID verification and recordkeeping.Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light stocking and inventory tasks, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Previous experience in retail, hospitality, wellness, or a related customer-facing role is preferred but not required.Must meet all legal requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facility in New Jersey.
