Data Scientist

Position : Data ScientistLocation : RemoteC2CKey Responsibilities Develop and deploy scalable data science models using Databricks (Apache Spark) to solve supply chain challenges such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics planning, and supplier performance analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence) to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions. Design and build data pipelines, ETL workflows, and feature engineering processes on Databricks. Analyze large, complex datasets from various sources (ERP, WMS, TMS, IoT sensors) to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities. Communicate findings and recommendations through compelling data visualizations and presentations to stakeholders. Build and monitor predictive models in production, ensuring accuracy and relevance over time. Work with MLOps/DevOps teams to deploy and maintain machine learning models in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP). Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and supply chain analytics. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with demonstrable work in supply chain analytics. Hands-on experience with Databricks, including working with Spark (PySpark) for big data processing. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow). Experience with SQL and building complex queries on large datasets. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Solid understanding of supply chain processes (planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, etc.). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Delta Lake, MLflow, or Databricks Workflows. Exposure to supply chain planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions). Knowledge of time-series forecasting methods and optimization algorithms.
