Mechanic/Maintenance Technician

DescriptionTo satisfactorily complete all repairs, either major or minor to all SARTA vehicles and complete the essential functions without any supervision in an environment that exemplifies trust, customer service, teamwork, and professionalism. This position guarantees 40 hours per week and exceptional benefits for you and your eligible dependents. RequirementsEssential FunctionsAbility to proficiently operate all SARTA vehicles (if applicant is not currently in possession of a CDL-B with appropriate endorsements, they will be required to obtain a permit, with proper endorsements, prior to beginning employment). Performs major or minor repairs. Conducts preventative maintenance and inspections on all SARTA vehicles. CompetenciesKnowledge of heavy duty engines; bus, truck, and car frames; and undercarriage components. Ability to troubleshoot problems/challenges and skill in solving problems.
