Construction Supervisor

Role summary / purposeProvides technical and financial support for energy projects, including reviewing contract documents, plant design criteria, drawings, and specifications. Responsible for contractor monitoring and oversight of assigned work. Primary responsibility includes route development, refinement, and field visits to support overall pre-construction preparation.Key responsibilitiesReview contract documents for technical aspects and plant design criteria, drawings, and specificationsMonitor and oversee contractor work on assigned projectsDevelop and refine routes for energy projects using value engineering and optimization conceptsConduct field visits to verify conditions and support pre-construction preparationApply functional understanding of routing criteria across cost, engineering, and environmental constraintsIdentify and evaluate routing risks with input from subject matter expertsCommunicate and discuss risks with Engineering & Construction, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land teamsSupport late-stage activities including permitting prior to constructionTravel within the US approximately 25%Requirements - education & experienceAssociate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)6 - 10 years of experience supporting technical and financial aspects of construction projectsExperience with contractor oversightRequired skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience performing routing and siting tradeoff decisions in the presence of uncertaintyAbility to identify and evaluate routing risksProblem-solving skills within highly regulated permitting requirementsDetail-oriented with ability to maintain sight of larger visionNice-to-have / preferred skillsExperience with geospatial applications such as Google Earth and/or GISImpellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
