About the Role:Join TAI's Electrical and Controls Engineering Group as an Engineer III and take the lead in detailed electrical and process controls design for diverse projects. You'll drive work across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and cost estimation to construction administration and system commissioning, while ensuring compliance with industry codes and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines. We work for our clients, and we work for one another.Here's a glimpse into your day to day:Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and performing detailed electrical and controls design and support management of engineering activities.This position receives general administrative direction from the division manager and is responsible for process controls design of multiple projects of varying complexity.Research applicable industry standards, prepare engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.Develop engineering specifications and project cost estimates.Review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services.Coordinate most aspects of project document completion.Direct CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings.Interpret and apply applicable codes.Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.You'll be a perfect fit if you have:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical EngineeringProfessional Engineer licensure is preferredMinimum of Seven (7) years of controls design experience.Ability to communicate with customers to gather critical information.Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).Effectively manage multiple ongoing project and tasks.Assure compliance with company and client CAD standards.Capable of performing field surveys in order to document existing conditions.Review construction packages from designers for company and department standards.Capable of specifying, designing, programming and maintaining automation control systems for industrial, power, oil & gas, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage facilities with significant expertise in at least one of the core industries served by TAICapable of specifying both digital and analog instrumentation (Level, Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Analytical - pH, LEL, O2, CO, CO2, etc.) and integrate to construction and panel drawing sets.Capable of specifying Electrical Component and Field Devices (combination starters, VFD's, MCC's, pushbuttons/selector switches, heat trace, etc.)Capable of designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to instrument location plan, conduit block and network architecture drawingsCapable of designing, reviewing and approving PLC control panel and motor control panel drawingsCapable of with specification and programming of controls systems including Rockwell family of processors and HMI's, ability to program new applications and modify existing applications with ample annotation for future referenceWorking knowledge of TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus and other industrial communication protocolsExperience programming Wonderware, IFix, Maple, Delta V, Siemens, Omron, Modicon, Mitsubishi and Koyo is a plusExperience programming SCADA and SQL is a plusWorking knowledge of and ability to specify control systems for use in hazardous area locations as identified by NFPA 70Working knowledge of ISA standards and ability to interpret and contribute to development of P&IDWorking knowledge of and ability to design robust safety circuits and specify components of varying industry requirementsWorking knowledge of NFPA 79Candidates must have experience with at least one of the following software:Rockwell RSLogix 5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, FactoryTalk View SE & ME, RSlinx, Siemens PLC, Iconics Genesis 64, Design SMicrosoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ProjectAutoCAD (ability to open drawings, navigate, edit text, and print)MasterspecCompensation and Benefits:Pay: $95,000-105,000 annually (based upon experience)Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)PTO and Paid HolidaysHealth Benefits: Employee through family level coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurances.
