Job Description Robotics Test TechnicianLocation: San Jose, CA (Onsite)Contract: 12‑month contract with potential for conversion/extensionPay Rate: Up to $50/hour (W2)Job OverviewWe are an agency partner supporting a cutting‑edge engineering organization in San Jose, CA seeking a Robotics Test Technician. This role works closely with the engineering team to execute robotics testing, operate robotic systems, and collect and analyze test data. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and engineering foundation, enjoys hands‑on work, and is eager to grow in a robotics‑focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineering teams to execute robotics tests and validation activitiesOperate and work directly with robotic systems to support testing effortsCollect, document, and organize test data for engineering analysisTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system‑level issues during testingUse test equipment to support calibration and system verificationFollow established procedures and safety guidelines during all testing activitiesSupport continuous improvement of testing processes and workflowsRequired Skills & QualificationsEngineering background (Mechanical Engineering preferred, but open to related disciplines)Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience working with test equipmentBasic understanding of robotics systems and componentsFamiliarity with calibration processesExposure to electronics and mechanical systemsEntry‑level candidates OKPreferred / Nice‑to‑Have SkillsSoftware scripting experience (any language or test automation exposure a plus)Hands‑on robotics experience through internships, labs, or academic projectsExperience wearing VR goggles or working with VR‑enabled systemsInterest in robotics, automation, or advanced engineering technologiesAdditional InformationOnsite role in San Jose, CAPay up to $50/hourJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.16/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
