HSE Manager (In-Office)

The HSE Manager oversees the Safety department and supervises Safety Officers. This position reports to the CEO and ownership. This position is in-office in Covington, LA.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe HSE Manager is responsible for corporate oversight of the following:Assists Corporate Risk Manager with commercial insurance program design and managementHSE policy and procedure development and complianceCoordination and/or delivery of HSE trainingOSHA, DOT and other regulatory complianceClaims investigation, management and resolutionAssists with risk management due diligenceManagement of field HSE personnel (T&D and Vegetation Management)Contractor MSA insurance requirements complianceAssist with contractor vettingBusiness development and customer/contractor relationsAssessing field HSE staffing needsAccompany Customer Relations team members on utility customer meetings and industry eventsStorm operations involve the following:Assignment of field HSE personnel for storm workCommunication with field HSE personnel during storm workCoordination of field HSE activities with COOManagement of the investigation and documentation of storm incidents/near-missesDirect the reporting and management of property damage and bodily injury claimsQualificationsProficient in Microsoft OfficeProactive and competent at problem solvingElectric utility industry experience preferredMinimum of 5 years of HSE management experienceBachelor’s degree preferred
