DMV candidates only. US GC only. No H1B or third party sponsorship. Job Summary Sr. Level Java Developer to support our customer, a major Federal Healthcare Insurance organization. The role involves new development, enhancements, production support/bug fixes, and system releases within the client's internal platform. Contract 12-month contract with the possibility of conversion to FTE. No guarantee of conversion and sponsorships not permitted. Responsibilities Perform new development, enhancements, production support, bug fixes, and system releases. Participate in the typical sprint and Scrum processes to support releases, enhancements, and troubleshooting. Work with Business Analysts and Testers to move code through the SDLC process and into production. Maintain the system, provide operational support for the 24/7 FEP Bridge platform, and handle troubleshooting. Occasionally attend onsite meetings in Columbia, MD (2x per month) and a final face-to-face interview required. Qualifications BS Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent: 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree). Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Java (v21 preferred), Spring Boot, JMS. Basic AWS experience or concepts knowledge. Basic Kubernetes console understanding. Basic SQL querying abilities. Strong Oracle DB experience. Experience within a Healthcare Payor organization with knowledge of Healthcare Claims (X12 highly preferred). Wide breadth of Java open-source technologies: Ant, Struts, Spring Boot, XML parser technology, SOA-based infrastructure, jUnit, HTTPUnit. Experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes console, and solid design & architecture skills. Preferred (not required) Angular, Snowflake, Python. Cloudbees.
