Fitness Services Specialist I

Summary OccasionallyJOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEResponsible for facilitating high-quality fitness classes, providing personal training services, and supporting SamFit members in achieving their fitness goals. Assists the Fitness Services Specialist II to ensure exceptional member experience through membership and facility support, preventative maintenance, and active participation in community fitness initiatives. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONSamFit is a network of Samaritan Health Services (SHS) fitness centers dedicated to delivering accessible, community-focused fitness services throughout the SHS region. The SamFit team supports member well-being through a wide array of services, including group fitness classes, personal training, and 24/7 access to modern equipment and facilities. With a strong emphasis on member experience, SamFit plays an essential role in promoting healthy, active lifestyles across the communities SHS serves.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSAssociate degree or equivalent experience in a related field required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. NCCA certification in personal training, group fitness instruction, or a related area required within 90 days of hire.One (1) year of customer service, sales, and/or marketing experience required. Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Outlook, required. Ability to learn new applications, enter data, and manipulate and process information. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
