Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role partners closely with FP&A, Tax, and cross-functional teams to ensure strong accounting operations, effective internal controls, and continuous process improvement.This is an impactful role for a detail-oriented accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys improving processes, developing people, and supporting scalable financial operations.ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsSupport the Senior Director of Accounting in managing day-to-day and month-end accounting operationsOversee General Ledger activities including journal entry review, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysisHelp ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesMaintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 842, 810, 805, 606, 330 and 326Assist with consolidation processes and maintenance of a standardized chart of accountsSupport documentation and adherence to internal controls across accounting processesTeam LeadershipSupervise and mentor a team of accountants, promoting accountability, accuracy, and collaborationSupport ongoing training and development to enhance technical and systems knowledgeHelp foster a positive, solutions-oriented team culture aligned with departmental goalsFinancial ReportingSupport preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPerform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas of concernEnsure accuracy of supporting schedules and General Ledger dataCompliance & AuditAssist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesSupport coordination of internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and audit schedulesRespond to auditor requests and assist with follow-up itemsProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencyPartner with the Senior Director of Accounting on implementation of best practices and scalable proceduresSupport financial integration activities for acquisitions, including data validation and close supportBudgeting & Forecasting SupportPartner with FP&A and department leaders to provide accounting input into budgeting and forecastingAssist with monthly spending reviews and variance analysisSystems & Data IntegritySupport ongoing maintenance and optimization of financial systems and reporting toolsCollaborate with IT and Finance teams to improve system workflows and data accuracyParticipate in system enhancements, upgrades, and process automation initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA required7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on General Ledger and financial reportingStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control practicesExperience supporting accounting close cycles and audit readinessExperience working in multi-entity or growing organizations preferredProficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platformsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyDetail-oriented with a proactive, ownership-driven mindsetBenefitsBearCom wants to elevate your professional growth!
