Senior Systems Engineer

Dallas, TX or New York, NY | Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote) | Full-Time About the Role A well-established, multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its technology team. This is a design-forward infrastructure role — the focus is on architecting and deploying new systems, not day-to-day operations. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent on engineering work; the remainder on documentation and enabling our support team to operate the systems you build. This is a high-ownership position with direct exposure to trading and investment technology infrastructure. Responsibilities Architect and implement infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments Own Kubernetes platform operations — cluster management, Helm, networking, storage, and observability Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM) Build and support AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU provisioning and model serving environments Produce thorough technical documentation for all new systems Train support engineers on systems you design, ensuring smooth operational handoffs Partner with software development and investment technology teams Qualifications 7+ years of systems engineering experience in a complex, multi-environment organization Proficiency in both Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments AWS experience strongly preferred (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM) Experience with AI/ML infrastructure a strong plus Background in financial services or a similarly complex enterprise environment preferred Strong written communication skills — ability to document for non-engineering audiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
