Estimation Engineer

About the company: Jamtek Electrical LLC [Herein: “Jamtek”] is a certified low voltage company specializing in installation, maintenance, and upgrades of low voltage systems such as but not limited to; fire alarms and security systems. Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for a variety of low voltage systems, including but not limited to access control, data cabling, fire alarms, and security systems. This role requires a solid understanding of low voltage technology, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, project managers, and sales teams. Please note that this position is based in Macon, Georgia, and a willingness to relocate will be a requirement for successful applicants. Responsibilities · Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and project managers to define budget, project scope, and requirements. · Develop and submit project proposals that comply with industry standards and relevant regulations. · Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation strategies. · Maintain and update estimating databases and project records to ensure accuracy and consistency. · Review blueprints, project specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and time. Qualifications: · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Ability to visit project sites and assess installation requirements. · Attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and diagrams. · Experience or knowledge of access control, burglar alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and related security/automation products. · Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. · Relevant Field Technician certifications/licenses are considered an advantage.
