Through decades of service, AICDC has built strong, trusted relationships with Tribal Governments and community partners, working collaboratively to deliver respectful, community-driven services.Position SummaryAICDC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our Anishinabe Campus team. In this role, you will provide peer support services to individuals accessing our daytime drop-in center, helping clients navigate recovery with dignity, respect, and culturally responsive care.This position is grounded in motivational interviewing and trauma-informed Care, and focuses on empowering individuals to build stability, access resources, and sustain recovery.Essential ResponsibilitiesPeer Support & Client EngagementBuild trust and rapport by sharing lived recovery experiences and providing mentorshipSupport clients in developing social, communication, and life skillsOffer guidance on goal setting, stress management, and personal growthAdvocacy & Resource NavigationAssist clients in overcoming barriers to servicesHelp individuals advocate for themselves within systems of careConnect clients to housing, employment, education, and community resourcesGroup Facilitation & Community CollaborationFacilitate peer support and recovery groupsPartner with community organizations to provide additional programmingHelp develop and maintain a weekly group scheduleDocumentation & Program SupportMaintain accurate records of client interactions, referrals, and servicesTrack attendance and participation in group activitiesDocument services in required systems (e.g., Procentive)Professional BoundariesMaintain ethical standards and appropriate professional relationships with clientsFollow confidentiality and client record policiesPosition RequirementsAge 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalentCurrent Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certificationMinimum of 1 year in recovery from substance use disorderAbility to pass a NetStudy 2.0 background checkCommitment to maintaining personal recoveryStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience facilitating groups or leading discussionsAbility to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disordersIntermediate computer skills for documentation and reportingEqual Employment OpportunityAmerican Indian Community Development Corporation (AICDC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
