CheckAlt is looking for an Operations Manager to own the heartbeat of our day-to-day processing operations — ensuring accuracy, speed, and quality across high-volume payment and lockbox workflows. This is a hands-on leadership role that bridges frontline execution and strategic oversight, building accountable teams and durable processes that meet client expectations and regulatory standards as we grow.What You’ll DoLead Daily OperationsOwn daily data entry and processing operations to ensure volumes are handled accurately, on time, and in accordance with procedures and controlsOversee workload distribution, capacity planning, and prioritization through direct leadership of Team LeadsMonitor workflow, productivity, and service levels; proactively identify risks, delays, or bottlenecks and take corrective actionServe as the primary escalation point for processing issues, quality concerns, or operational disruptionsDevelop and Manage Team LeadsDirectly manage, coach, and develop Team Leads, setting clear performance expectations and accountability standardsSupport Team Leads in providing day-to-day guidance, training, and feedback to processorsConduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development planning for Team Leads and key contributorsOwn Quality, Risk & ControlsEnsure compliance with documented procedures, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and data security standards across operationsOversee quality review processes, error tracking, and trend analysis to reduce rework and operational riskPartner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to address findings, implement corrective actions, and sustain control effectivenessDrive Performance & ReportingReview and analyze operational metrics — including volume, turnaround time, accuracy, and error rates — to drive continuous performance improvementEnsure Team Leads consistently track, report, and act on key performance indicatorsCommunicate operational results, risks, and improvement initiatives clearly to senior managementImprove Processes & Partner Cross-FunctionallyIdentify, prioritize, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and scalabilityLead or support system enhancements, workflow changes, and procedural updates in partnership with Operations, Technology, and Support teamsChampion standardization, documentation, and best practices across all teamsTalents You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant coursework preferred8+ years of experience in lockbox, payment processing, or operational services environmentsDemonstrated experience leading people leaders or teams in a high-volume, deadline-driven operationStrong understanding of payment processing, check handling, remittances, and operational controlsProficiency with payment systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft OfficeCharacteristics You’ll Have Results-oriented with the self-motivation and drive to enable client success and continuous improvementAbility to wear multiple hats and pivot strategies and execution in a timely mannerResourceful and collaborative with a bias towards actionA personal and business value of treating others with honesty and respectWe value the unique expertise and experience attained through military service.
