Responsibilities May Include:
Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic.
Assist patients with intake procedures, including prescreening and inputting information for the doctor
Perform optical technician duties, including lens measurements, frame adjustments, and assistance with optical product selection, to ensure patient satisfaction.
Maintain patient records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect sensitive health information.
Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms using aseptic techniques and assisting with basic ophthalmic procedures.
Manage front desk operations including answering phones, handling retail sales of eyewear products, and processing payments using retail math principles.
Facilitate medical billing and coding processes related to optometry services to ensure accurate reimbursement.
Keep the clinic organized by managing medical records, updating patient files, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Promote excellent patient care through attentive service, clear communication, and a positive attitude throughout every interaction.
Experience
Previous experience working in a medical office environment with a focus on ophthalmology or optometry is highly preferred.
Hands-on optical experience including lens fitting, frame adjustments, or retail sales of eyewear products, is desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy (especially related to the eye), physiology, and clinical procedures enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms is advantageous for managing electronic health records efficiently.
Experience in pediatrics or working with diverse patient populations will help you excel in providing compassionate care.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards ensures confidentiality and security of patient information.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 – 45.0 per week
