They ensure their machine runs smoothly, works at capacity without issue and is appropriately maintained.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily operation of wood working machine. Cross train on other machines. Set up and operate the machine in accordance to established procedures and guidelines. Read and interpret production paperwork to select and sort parts. Manually load and unload parts to and from machine. Coordinate and organize and complete daily work following the schedule. Perform minor routine machine maintenance. Move carts of finished product to next production destination and retrieve empty carts. Housekeeping; sweep and pick up debris over, around, and under machine area. Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment. Participate and contribute to a "Team" environment. Other duties as assigned.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: No required education or job experience. Ability to learn and retain on the job training. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English. Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following: Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Stand for extended periods of time. Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds. Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity. Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas. Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.
