Interventional Radiology Technician Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: 2 Years Minimum License: Current State/District License Required Certifications: AART Required, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) License Required Must-Have: Must live 100 miles away Description: Responsible for radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations. Assists physicians in interventional procedures. Provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocols. Observes patients during procedures and reports abnormal activity. Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
