Inventory Control Associate

Joliet, IL (Onsite) $23/hour Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM One rotating late shift per month (10:00 AM–6:30 PM) Contract through NovemberWe are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Associate to support operations at a large Parts Distribution Center in Joliet, IL. This role will split time between the warehouse floor and office environment, helping maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and support daily warehouse operations.Candidates with strong inventory control experience and Manhattan WMS experience are highly preferred.ResponsibilitiesPerform inventory control and clerical activities to ensure inventory is secure, accurately identified, and readily accessibleAssist with physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory recordsInvestigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and cycle count variancesLocate missing inventory and resolve inventory-related issuesVerify quantities of inbound and outbound shipmentsAssist with shipped-in-error claims, dealer returns, and inventory investigationsSupport pick exception resolution and inventory shortage investigationsProvide backup support for inventory control functions as neededMaintain accurate records and inventory documentationWork closely with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to support inventory accuracyRequirementsAssociate degree with at least 1 year of materials management experience OR2+ years of materials management, inventory control, or warehouse inventory experienceStrong inventory management and cycle counting experienceExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan WMS strongly preferred)Data entry and inventory record maintenance experienceProficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentCustomer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under deadlines and handle inventory discrepanciesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working at elevated heightsWillingness to be trained on a Cherry PickerPreferred QualificationsManhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS)TOLAS experienceWarehouse inventory control experience in a distribution center environmentCycle counting and inventory reconciliation experienceMaterials management or supply chain background#INDOEM
