Housekeeping/ laundry Fulltime Qualifications High school diploma Previous housekeeping and laundry experience helpful, but will train. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY Clean and maintain public areas and resident rooms and other duties assigned on a daily basis using proper cleaning and safety techniques. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Comply with facility’s personnel, safety and corporate policies and procedures. 2. Comply with Nursing Department’s policies and procedures. 3. Report witnessed allegations of resident abuse and/or neglect. 4. Treat residents, family members, visitors and team members with dignity and respect. 5. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information. 6. Maintain electronic and/or written records on all residents without omitting or falsify information. 7. Ability to use and/or learn how to use in a proficient manner approved electronic devices that are used for documentation and/or recording keeping. 8. Will have active participation in QAPI including but not limited to meetings, implementation and continued development. 9. Report to work on time and as scheduled. 10. Daily, empty all garbage in resident rooms and utility closets, disinfect water fountain, clean and disinfect resident bathrooms, bring soiled mops and rags to laundry, clean nurse’s station, clean Physician’s office, record refrigerator temperatures, dust and wet mop east dining room, deliver newspapers. 11. Weekly, disinfect and clean handrails, vacuum hallways, disinfect telephone, dust and mop resident rooms with tile floors, dust resident’s furniture, dust and mop floor in whirlpool room, vacuum 2nd floor resident rooms. 12. Clean kitchenette. 13. Maintain calendar of residential needs. 14. Keep all window sills wiped off. 15. Keep the lounge clean and dusted. 16. Mop stairway going to 1st landing in east stairwell. 17. Pick up cleaning and paper supplies in supply room. 18. Spot clean carpets in hallways and resident rooms. 19. Help with storage items for residents.
