About the Role
MedOp Solutions is partnering with a healthcare facility in Kokomo, Indiana to hire an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment on night shift.
This role supports a Level II OB unit and Level II special care nursery, where nurses provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. The RN will manage both maternal and newborn care, including circulating in the OB OR and supporting deliveries alongside physicians and certified nurse midwives.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with full-spectrum LDRP experience who are confident in both obstetric and newborn care within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo
Labor Rooms: 8
Postpartum Rooms: 12
Special Care Nursery: 4 beds (Level II)
OB OR Suite: On unit
Care Level: Level II OB and Level II Nursery
Providers: 4 delivering physicians and 2 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor
Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate cesarean sections in the OB OR
Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments
Support care in the Level II special care nursery as needed
Administer medications and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
Collaborate with physicians, CNMs, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition accurately
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (state-specific or compact eligibility)
Minimum 1–2 years of LDRP experience preferred
Experience in labor & delivery, postpartum care, and circulating required
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric environment
Scheduling & Expectations
12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
36 hours per week
No on-call requirements
Weekend expectations to be determined based on unit needs
