We organize volunteer opportunities, company activities, and all-employee meetings to show we value our employees and the community around us!Keytronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Human Resources Intern to assist with clerical and front desk duties.JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources (HR) Intern is responsible for ensuring positive impressions on customers, guests and employees. The HR Intern provides clerical and operational support, handling tasks like data entry, scheduling, filing, and managing correspondence. They assist departments with assigned projects and daily office workflows while gaining practical experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)Assists Human Resources in maintaining the training database, creating employee and/or customer facing announcements and other clerical tasks related to the employee experience.Assists at the front desk with answering and directing calls, updating the site directory, and greeting customers, employees, vendors and other visitors.Perform daily/weekly office housekeeping tasks such as sorting mail, stocking the break rooms, ordering supplies, organizing smocks, foot straps and ESD cords.Assists other departments with various projects and needs. Primary assistance will be related to data entry/record keeping (such as scanning, filing paper and/or electronic records, and/or processing reports).Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED Is supervised by the Human Resources Manager and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
