Material Handler

We’re hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role involves receiving materials, preparing shipments, and ensuring products are handled safely and accurately. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with strong attention to detail and flexibility.
What you’ll do:
Receiving
Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify quantities and item identification against purchase orders.
Measure and count items to ensure accuracy and correct specifications.
Ensure all shipments are properly labeled and accompanied by required documentation.
Safely unload trucks and stack materials in designated storage areas.
Route materials to appropriate departments.
Coordinate with Manufacturing team members and the Production Manager to determine storage locations and allocate warehouse space.
Shipping
Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move materials to shipping areas.
Perform final quality and quantity checks before shipment.
Safely load trucks and secure materials for transport.
Document damaged or defective items and arrange replacements per company policy.
Label containers with identifying information and delivery instructions.
What you’ll bring:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Forklift (Hi-Lo) experience or ability to obtain company certification.
Ability to read and follow shipping and receiving documents.
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
Experience interpreting shipping and receiving documentation.
Knowledge of safe operation of material-handling equipment.
Experience moving heavy machinery is a plus.
