The Marine Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical wiring and equipment in our boats. Key ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Install, route, and terminate complex electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and components in accordance with engineering schematics and production standards.Lead the integration of onboard electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, entertainment, lighting, and power management systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues across 12V, 120V, and 240V systems using advanced testing equipment and methodologies.Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.Perform system testing and validation, ensuring all electrical components meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production leadership, and quality teams to improve system design, installation processes, and overall product performance.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed.Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production timelines.Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.Required QualificationsMinimum of 3+ years of hands-on electrical experience in marine, RV, automotive, or similar mobile systems environment.Proven expertise in 12V systems, with working knowledge of 120V and 240V applications.Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical issues independently.Experience installing and managing heavy electrical harnesses in a production or manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.Basic English communication skills required.Preferred QualificationsExperience with marine systems, including Yamaha and Volvo platforms.Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.Experience working in confined spaces and production-based environments.Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams.High level of organization and ability to manage workload against production schedules.Commitment to continuous improvement and craftsmanship.Work EnvironmentMust be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods. The employee must frequently climb into and out of the boats using stairs.
