FuelGas Service TechnicianDescription:Willbe working with a pressurized/flammable gas, (mainly propylene)Will use a vapor compressor from time to time to pump out a propylene tank tomake repairs to the tankWill install 1,000 gallon plus size tanks for new customers and check thesystem for leaksWill inspect, wash, paint, apply new decals as needed for new and existingcustomersWill fill out work orders and inspection sheets when requiredWill operate a crane on a service truck to load and off load tanksWill rebuild and refurbish tanks as neededWill install and service vaporizersWill assist drivers as needed to pump out tanksWill rebuild Propylene pumpsWill learn to unload a railcar into our storage tanksWill do PMs from time to time at our storage facilityKeep up with expense receipts and submit expense reports timelyWill cross train to work with the cryogenic department for Matheson and work oncryogenic systemsWill be required to travel 50-75% of time and stay out over the weekendsQualifications:How a pressure regulator works andwhere/how it should be installedHow a flash arrestor works and where/how it should be installedHow a pressure relief valve works and the different pressure settings for themKnowledge of an LPG pump and be able to rebuild itHow a bypass valve works and how to set itSome electrical knowledge for checking the wiring connections on a smallelectrical motor for the propylene pumpSome electrical knowledge for checking the wiring connections for a vaporizerHow an internal valve and ESV valve works and when/where to install themHow to install a pneumatic system, pneumatic/emergency shutdown system forinternal valves and ESV valvesThe difference between schedule 40 and schedule 80 pipe and the differentworking pressure of pipe fittings, 150 psi versus 2,000 psi fittingsCertificationsWill be required to study and become familiar with all associated SOPs and takea test over the associated SOPs and pass the testWill be required to take CETP training modules and pass the test for themodules takenWill be required to acquire State certifications as requiredWill be required to take training refresher courses as neededWill need a class A or B CDL with a hazmat endorsementWill be required to obtain a passportWestern Int'l is an EqualOpportunity Employer that complies with the laws and regulations set forthunder EEOC.
