Electronics Test Technician

*Job Title: Electronics Test Technician – 2nd Shift (50172BR) * *Experience Level: Mid-Level (3–7 years)* *Location: Poway, CA* *Pay Rate: $35.78/hr* *Key Responsibilities* * Set up, perform, and analyze experiments/tests following established product test procedures, recording results accurately. * Diagnose and repair faults in electronic systems and equipment down to the PWA/component level. * Read and interpret electronic schematics, wire diagrams, block diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to perform repairs. * Operate test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators for analysis and troubleshooting. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits down to the component level. * Provide guidance and training to junior technicians on procedures, tools, and inspection techniques. * Ensure proper use of materials, equipment, and tools to maximize efficiency. * Escalate complex technical issues to Supervisor as needed. * Support additional duties and special projects as assigned. *Required Qualifications* * Associate’s degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years of electronics testing experience (military/technical school training a plus). * Proficiency in electronics theory (Ohm’s Law, op-amp circuits, AC/DC converters). * Hands-on experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, voltmeters, function generators, ATE, ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-link, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers. * Knowledge of computer applications relevant to the field. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing/repairing complex issues. * Ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair RF systems down to component level. * Ability to interpret technical manuals and work with high-pressure, high-voltage, high-energy, cryogenic, or radioactive systems. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
