Lead Maintenance Technician

Title: Lead Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Elgin, ILHire Type: Direct HireSalary: $27-$30/hr.Benefits: Insurance (Health, Medical, Dental), PTO, Paid Holidays, and more!The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting machinery and equipment maintenance while serving as a flexible production resource across the shop floor. This position ensures equipment remains safe and operational while providing support in multiple manufacturing roles as needed.Job Duties:Inspect machines to ensure equipment is operating safely and properlyPerform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) according to established ISO schedulesPerform maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipmentTroubleshoot equipment issues and support ongoing machine reliability effortsSupport daily operations and production requirements across departmentsAssist with additional maintenance or production duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma required with emphasis in machine shop, wood shop, or metal shopTrade school education or two-year degree in metal shop preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in a metal fabrication or welding shop environmentExperience with machine repair and maintenance, including PMIsPrevious supervisory experience preferred (2+ years)Ability to read and interpret shop drawingsQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
