Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation following HIPAA and medical terminology standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Help with patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation to promote mobility and prevent complications. Document patient care activities accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs in memory or behavioral health units. Assist with complex medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy support, or oxygen therapy as trained. Support patients in outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, assisted living, or hospice settings by delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Experience Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in caring for seniors in geriatrics or long-term care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Experience with pediatric or neonatal populations including PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient records management. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support effective patient monitoring and care planning. Proven ability to work with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized behavioral health interventions. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or other relevant healthcare certifications is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
