Coordinator, MTSS Academic (2026-2027)

Primary PurposeDirect and lead the District Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) programs for academic interventions (RTI). Serve as an instructional leader in evaluating, coordinating, monitoring, and developing the district's academic interventions for the purposes of improving student achievement. The coordinator will collaborate with school counselors, teachers, campus and district administrators, and families to create an integrated support system that promotes student well-being, academic success, and overall development. Participate as an active member of the Student Services Team, the Curriculum and Instruction Team, and the Specialized Learning Team.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Bachelor's degree in EducationMaster's degree preferredValid Texas teaching certificateSpecial Knowledge/SkillsKnowledge of the MTSS processes including the core principles of RTI and significant legislation or regulations related to student success (ex. HB 1416)Experience with universal screening, evidenced-based practices, progress monitoring, data-based decision making, fidelity implementation, research-based curriculum at Tier I, Tier II, and Tier IIIKnowledge of strategies in working with students with disabilities and underrepresented groupsStrong background in differentiated instructionExpertise in curriculum, instruction, and staff developmentUnderstanding of core principles of curriculum-based/aligned progress measures.Ability to interpret data to support development of Tier II and Tier III interventions for academic needsAbility to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectivenessKnowledge and practice of current research-based instructional strategiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead and motivate other staff membersAbility to manage crisis situationsExperienceThree years successful classroom teaching experienceExperience in a leadership roleExperience with RTI processesExperience creating and delivering staff developmentExperience in providing parent trainingWork Schedule: 221 daysSalary: Pay Grade 4 / Administrative/Professional Hiring Schedule
