Motor Coach Operator/Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers using a motor coach or similar vehicle.Examples of DutiesOperate all University vehicles safely and efficiently, following specific regularly scheduled routes, charter routes and respond to request from dispatch or management for unscheduled pickups or drop-offs.Use correct safety procedures to operate lift, secure wheelchair and other assistive devices.Make timely reports of accidents. incidents, and unusual occurrences.Must comply with all provisions of Mississippi Department of Transportation regulations.Must be able to work flexible hours and perform other expanded and/or related duties as assigned.Typical QualificationsMinimum High School Diploma or GED.Minimum of two (2) years motor coach, school bus or large vehicle experience.Must possess a valid Class "B" or Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement.Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age with a satisfactory driving record.Under direct supervision, the incumbent will safely operate transportation vehicles (automobiles, buses, vans and trucks) as required to transport passengers and deliver equipment, materials and/or documents for the University related purposes.We offer a complete benefits package to full-time employees, including health care, dental, vision, retirement, deferred compensation plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term disability, holidays, vacation, and sick leave.Part-time employees who work 20 hours or more per week are eligible for the complete benefits package.
