Interim CFO
We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to provide strategic and hands-on financial leadership during a defined transition period. This role will support executive leadership by overseeing financial operations, strengthening controls, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting while helping guide the organization through short-term and longer-term financial objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide senior‑level financial leadership and act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and key stakeholders
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data and reporting
Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and short‑ and long‑term financial forecasting
Support audit, tax, and compliance activities, working with external auditors and advisors as needed
Partner with operational and functional leaders to assess financial performance and drive informed decision‑making
Identify areas for process improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance and accounting team members
Support special projects, transactions, or initiatives as required during the engagement
Maintain clear, professional communication with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
CPA required
15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior leadership or CFO‑level responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Proven experience overseeing complex financial operations and leading finance teams
Demonstrated ability to step into fast‑paced, transitional environments and provide immediate impact
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial information for executive audiences
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Prior interim, consulting, or contract‑based leadership experience strongly preferred
