A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work in 101-bed Emergency Department with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds • Required to work every other weekend with scheduling that meets department needs • Float within all sections of the Emergency Department (no floating outside ED) • Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system • Navy scrubs required as part of dress code • 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in ER setting • Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high volume ED (>100,000 visits) required • Previous HCA experience preferred • Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback • Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire • Must follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards • Update patient boards with information and keep patients informed throughout visit • Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department required Facility: This flagship healthcare facility is an 815-bed hospital that has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and received Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A" rating for patient safety achievements.
