Job Description SUMMARYThis position performs machining operations and is responsible for meeting daily production requirements. This position is dedicated to getting the job done right the first time and promotes a safe work environment focused on overall continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSOperate machine while proving out new programsCheck tooling, setups, program coordinates, and any other information to ensure a quality partMake all corrections as needed by editing programMake necessary notations for changes or corrections in controlMake suggestions for further improvements in program to shorten run timesAnalyze tooling, setups and procedures and make recommendations for improvementsOperation involves loading, unloading, and pre-positioning of work in fixtures, checking of parts for conformity with dimensional specifications by use of fixed gages, calipersRemain constantly alert to detect improper machining QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCETwo-year Machining Technology degree preferredExperience in Machine Shop Math Horizontal mill setup experience - Preferably FANUC ControlsRead and understand blueprintsKnow and understand CNC G & M code.Follow directions/instructions step-by-step.
